Bailey - 2 Months Old

My baby is two months old now. Her whole face lights up when she smiles and she is starting to try and talk (coo) back to us when we talk to her. The boys still think of her as a new toy and are constantly hovering over her. I'm so glad they love her so much. She is one lucky girl.

Welcome Home Bailey

We have welcomed our little Bailey home to our family. She is such a sweet baby and we already love her so much. We ended up staying just a bit longer in the hospital than planned because of an infection, but all is well now. It's been a crazy week for Nate since both he and the boys ended up with strep throat, runny noses and coughs. I don't understand how I have been able to keep my boys healthy all winter and then get so sick when it's time to have our baby. Oh Well! I am learning that I can't control everything and to just roll with it.

Almost Time

Well, it's almost time to meet the newest addition to our family. I have a scheduled c-section on the 18th. I feel a little conflicted with my feelings. I'm anxious to meet this little girl, but I know how she has to come out and it's not very fun. Although, I have to say that this probably has been my easiest pregnancy and to that I am very thankful. I've tried to keep a positive attiude throughout and I think it has helped. McCoy and Landon are so excited to have a sister. They both love babies and every night they like to sit and feel my tummy move. I'm sure they are going to be BIG helpers.

Merry Christmas!

This year we spent Christmas down in Orangeville at Papa and Nana Jewkes' house. The boys were so excited and couldn't wait to get down there. They were a little concerned whether or not Santa was going to know how to find them, but Nate reassured them that everything was going to be okay. We had a good time and McCoy and Landon always have fun playing with their cousins.

McCoy turns FIVE

McCoy turned 5 this week. He has been asking everyday since September how many days until his birthday and we're so glad it's finally here. This year McCoy wanted a Transformer birthday cake and so I decided to make one for him. I wasn't completely sure what I was doing, but the end result turned out okay. Here are some things to know about McCoy...
His favorite foods are cheese, chicken nuggets and chicken noodle soup. He LOVES his dad and can't wait for Nate to get home from work everyday so he can wrestle with him. McCoy says when he grows up he wants to be a fire fighter and a dad. He still likes to play with trucks, but recently has taken to building things with Lego's. He also loves to build forts with the cushions off of my couch. McCoy is a sweetheart and we're so glad he is part of our family.

Snow Much Fun!

Last week after we received our big snow storm, my sister came up to go Christmas shopping and left her children with us. After Nate finished plowing our driveway and sidewalks he took the kids for a ride on the sled. They had so much fun riding around in the snow.

Halloween

We spent Halloween down in Orangeville at my dad's house. The kids were so excited to go trick or treating with their cousins. McCoy and Landon were probably done after hitting about ten houses, but we pushed them on (I'm not sure why). We didn't pass very many trick or treaters throughout the night so most of the houses were giving out hands full of candy. The kids returned home with their bags filled to the brim. Too bad mom had to take them away soon after.

Babies at the Zoo

This is a little late. For Landon's birthday we decided to visit all the new babies at the Hogle Zoo. They were so cute. At the time, we had my sister's kids with us while she was in the hospital having her baby. Nate took the day off of work to go with us and I was so glad because he was a big help keeping track of everyone. I dressed both of my boys in orange and her two kids in green so that I only had to look for two colors. We also met up with Nate's mom and sister. All of the kids had a great time.

The penguins were the boys favorite. They were swimming around and really active.
