Last weekend we went ice fishing with my dad. This was the first time I have ever been and I actually had a fun time. I expected it be really cold, but amazingly the day warmed up and ended up being a beautiful day. When we first pulled up to Mill Site, the lake didn't look frozen. Stepping onto the ice was a little scary because it was so clear you could see the ground. The ice ended up being about 8 inches thick. Once we got out there, it still was little scary hearing the ice creaking around us. We had a little luck fishing. My dad caught two fish and McCoy caught two fish. Another fish took off with Nate's pole in the water. He was more bummed about missing the big fish than loosing his pole. The boys had a fun time sliding around on the ice and even Bailey was happy to be outside in the fresh air.

These are cool pictures. The kids look like they're floating on top of water. I'm glad you all had fun. The one time I've been ice fishing it was miserably cold and nobody caught a single fish!
Aaah that looks scary! It totally looks like you are walking on water. Looks like you made some fun family memories though!
That is so crazy! I can't believe how clear the ice is. The lake where my parents live just looks white. They have truck races on it (not my parents).
You are braver than I am and you got some awesome pictures.
