July Adventures

Nate had to go away for a week long scout camp last week and the last thing I wanted to do was stay home alone with the kids the entire time so we planned out our week with lots of stuff to do to pass the time quickly. The first two days were spent up in the canyon with Nate's family. I'm not sure what we were thinking going up there with 1 grandma, 4 moms, 10 children, 4 young infants and NO husbands. We had a couple of technical difficulties with the RV, but did well for ourselves for the most part. We even had two big bull moose come wandering through our camp. All of the kids had lots of fun hanging out and hopefully built great memories together. Unfortunately, I didn't take a single picture and regret that now.
.
The next part of the week was spent down in Spring City at my sisters house. We love hanging out with Aunt Kamey and her children. We did lots of stuff together and the kids had a lot of fun. We were so sad when it was time to come home, but happy to finally see daddy since we missed him sooo much. I thought it was cute when Landon informed me that he wanted to move in with Aunt Kamey. Here are a few pictures that I took down there.

The kids dressed up in their super hero costumes and drove around in the gator for a good part of the day

McCoy and Landon's first experience at a drive-in movie. They definitely had fun sitting in the back of Uncle Fletcher's truck to watch Toy Story 3
.
Apparently, we didn't need to pay to get into a big swimming pool. They swam for hours in this little pool at Kamey's house and had just as much fun.

Demolition Derby

Since the boys loves cars and trucks so much we decided it would be fun to take them to a crash derby. They LOVED it and were so amazed to see cars crash into each other and on purpose too. We had so much fun hanging out together as a family and the boys can't wait to go again next year. Thanks to a good friend for offering to watch Bailey for us while we were gone. I don't think she would have been happy and content sitting through the whole event.

McCoy's Preschool Program

At the end of year program, McCoy's little preschool class performed a play. McCoy was a lion. All of the kids were so cute. McCoy was a little shy so he whispered his lines and played with his shirt in his hands, but overall he did a pretty good job for his first performance. He is now looking forward to starting kindergarten next year. Thankfully, our elementary school is changing from year round to traditional.

Victor, Idaho

For Memorial Day weekend we went to my Grandma McBrides house in Idaho for a family reunion. We had about 70 relatives show up. It was so good to see everyone. I love my mom's family. Everyone is so loving towards one another. A lot of work was accomplished even though it rained on us most of the time. The guys were busy building new fences, taking out trees, and burning weeds while the girls cleaned out my grandma's kitchen and cupboards. We stayed at a hotel while we were there and the kids had a good time swimming in the pool. Unfortunately, I didn't take out my camera until we were getting ready to leave so I didn't get the big picture with everyone. I love going to my grandma's house. There are so many good memories with my mom and I feel her spirit everywhere.
Posing with my cute grandma. She is a feisty woman. No wonder she is still kickin' at 90 years old

You can actually see the pond now. There used to be a bunch of trees and bushes blocking the view.

April Campout

Our family went camping last weekend and had a great time. We went down on the San Rafael desert near Justesen Flat. It rained the entire drive down and I thought we were in for a muddy weekend, but stopped about 20 minutes before we got there. Amazingly enough, it ended up being a nice weekend. The kids really enjoyed playing in the dirt and we only had one incident where they wondered off from camp looking for mountain lions. Thankfully, it ended well and we didn't have to call the search and rescue team. Bailey did so good for her first camping trip. She spent 98% of the time in the trailer and was happy as could be.

McCoy pulling a log. For some reason, he thought it was so fun and entertaining to pull this around camp. Go figure!
