Happy 4th of July

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We usually go camping, but this year we spent the whole week leading up to the 4th in Breckenridge, CO (post to follow) so we were home during the celebrations. Landon and McCoy loved watching the fire trucks, police motorcycles and horses in the parade. They also had a blast watching our own fireworks and then the big firework display just a couple of blocks from our house. Having children has made every holiday so much more exciting. Seeing their faces light up at everything is great. I can't wait until next year!

Super Hero's to the Rescue

I assumed dress-up was just for girls. Well, little did I know that boys love it just as much. Last weekend, my brother and his family came over for a barbecue and they brought dress-up clothes with them. All the kids had a blast trying on every costume. They would run around yelling "SUPER HERO'S TO THE RESCUE". It was all very entertaining. I guess I will need to invest in some dress-up clothes now. We had visits from a couple of Batmans, Buzz Lightyear, a Mutant Ninja Turtle and a Super Hero Princess.

Backyard Camp Out

For the last couple of weeks, McCoy has been begging to go camping. So, Nate decided to pitch a tent in our backyard and camp out with the boys. McCoy and Landon loved it. The whole evening they were running around the tent in their pajamas with their little flashlights giggling and having so much fun. Of course, I had to be the party pooper and make them settle down and go to sleep, which ended up taking awhile since they were so wound up. Now, McCoy asks if he can sleep out outside every night. We'll see about that.

Girl's Weekend Getaway (with children)

I went to St. George, UT last week with Nate's mom and sisters for our annual weekend getaway. There were 7 adults and 10 children staying in two condos. I don't know if I would call it a relaxing weekend - chaotic would be more like it, but we all had a fabulous time. The kids swam alot, played at the playground and created lots of fun memories with their cousins. I tried to "read" a book, but mostly just enjoyed spending time with my boys. It was nice to leave Salt Lake City's snowy, cold and unpredictable spring weather and bask in the warm sun of St George.

Lawn Mowing Team

McCoy and Landon love to be around their dad and want to do everything that he is doing. So, when Nate started mowing the lawn the other day, they had to get out their little lawn mowers to help as well. They were porbably in the way more than anything, but Nate was good about it and would just go around them.

Family, Farm, Four-wheeling and Fun

A couple of weeks ago when we were down in Orangeville with my family, we decided to go four-wheeling out to the farm. We had so much fun puttin' around the farm on my dad's four wheelers. Everyone had such a great time and it was wonerful to get out into the fresh air. Orangeville will always be "home" to me and I truly enjoy going as frequently as we can. My children love it there and often ask if they can go down to Papa's house. Nate and I both have been truly blessed to have been born to good and loving parents.

All lined up and ready to go...

Easter 2008

Wow! I'm late on getting this posted. We spent Easter weekend down in Orangeville, UT at my dad's house with most of my family. Everyone had a great time. The kids had so much fun with lots of activities, easter egg hunts and plenty of candy. After church we tried taking pictures of the boys in their easter clothes, but they did not want to sit still.
